Under steel specification ASTM A131/A131M, the higher strength steel plate and sheet A131 Grade FH40 and A131 Grade EH40 are used in ship construction,vessel buildings and oil platform setting up in deep oceans.With the minimum yield strength at 390 Mpa,A131 Grade FH40 and A131 Grade EH40 have to be done heat treated under Normalized or thermo-mechanical control processed (TMCP).As for the low temperature impacting test, shipbuilding steel plate A131 Grade FH40 shall be done at minus 60 centi degree,and shipbuilding steel plate A131 Grade EH40 shall be done this test at minus 40 centi degree.

In fact,steel grade A131 Grade FH40 is equal to ABS Grade FH40,and steel plate A131 Grade EH40 is equal to ABS Grade EH40.All the rolling processes are the same in our mill for these higher shipbuilding steel grades.Now we give you the mechnical properity and chemical composition for marine steel plate A131 Grade FH40 for your reference.
