With the minimum yield strength at 500 Mpa,weldable fine grain steel plate P500QL1 and P500QL2 are mainly used to 

manufacture liquid boilers and pressure vessels&tanks in heavy industry all over the world.For improving the steel 

welding properity, excessive post weld heat_treatment conditions can decrease the mechanical properties.So our 

engineers recommended that the end user would like to add this test PWHT as an additional technical terms when 

they purchase these boiler plates P500QL1 and P500QL2.

 

For these two high strength steel grades of P500QL1 and P500QL2, heat treatment under Quenched and Tempered 

have to be done when production in steel mills.Steel plate P500QL1 shall be adopt low temperature impacting test at 

minus 40 centi degree,and steel sheet P500QL2 shall be at minus 60 centi degree.About the chemical composition 

of copper,for reason of hot formability, a lower copper content and a maximum tin content may be agreed at the 

time of inquiry and making orders.
